Julian Wins Social Impact Award

Last Friday Julian attended a Gala Dinner at the Langham Hotel in the heart of London to receive the Social Impact Award from Chancellor Lady Sorrell and Dr Peter Bonfield, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Westminster.

The Award from the University of Westminster Alumni was in recognition of Julian's positive contributions to the community of Babati, in Northern Tanzania, through the Livingstone Tanzania Trust, a charity he founded, shortly after graduating from the International Business and Development MA course, with the help of Clive Shiret and Professor Mike Hodd.

Julian says the proudest achievement of his 11 years, aside from LTT itself, is the growing demand by schools to copy the market garden and enterprise training so that the schools can get on the path to greater self reliance and self determination.
